Investigative Genetic Genealogy

Welcome! This site serves to inform about the uses of Investigative Genetic Genealogy (IGG) and provide resources for IGG practitioners, or anyone else who is curious about delving deeper into this evolving field. My name is Leigh and I studied at the IGG Center at Ramapo College of New Jersey. I highly recommend their excellent IGG Certificate Program to learn the necessary skills for practical IGG work and how to effectively communicate with law enforcement agencies and forensic DNA labs.

Make sure to check out the Resources page for much more about IGG!

GENETIC GENEALOGY

UNIDENTIFIED REMAINS

IGG is used to resolve unidentified human remains (UHR) - John/Jane Doe cases.

COLD CASES

IGG can help resolve violent crime and cold cases in partnership with law enforcement agencies.
